DOST 7 Coop opens second oneSTore Hub in Cebu City

Marketing of local products gets another boost as the Department of Science and Technology 7 (DOST 7) launches the soft opening of its seconds oneSTore Hub in Cebu City.

Housed in the Furniture Testing Center building at the DOST 7 S&T Complex in Lahug, Cebu City,  the new hub is run and managed by the DOST 7 Employees Multi-Purpose Cooperative (DEMPC).

Cebu People's Multi-Purpose Cooperative was the first to set a oneSTore Hub in Cebu City, the new hub is run and managed by the DOST 7 Employees Multi-Purpose Cooperative (DEMPC).

Displayed at DEMPC-managed OneSTore Hub are goods produced and sold by Magicmelt Foods, Armson Food Corp., Dundees Bakeshop, Feb20 Enterprises, Chilen Chicharon, Jestrera Food Products, Lactobiotics Worldwide Corporation, DASVO II MPC Shoes, Habagat, Gaama Foods, Cebu Grace Food Products, CLB Foods, and Creme Homegrown Recipes. These shops are DOST-assisted micro, small, and medium entrprises (MSMEs).

oneSTore serves as a physical and virtual arm that provides solutions to address difficulties in marketing goods produced by small and medium scale businesses assisted by DOST under its Small Enterprise Technology Upgrading Program (SETUP).

OneSTore Hub is a physical display and sale outlet for local products of DOST-assisted MSMEs and marketed online by DOST through ONESTORE.PH.

With the presence of oneSTore, new and bigger market opportunities have been opened for these local producers.

In attendance during soft launching are DOST 7 Regional Director Edilberto L. Paradela and DEMPC Chairman Vicente M. Cueme, representatives and crew of the DOST-assisted MSMEs in Cebu, as well as DOST 7 employees and coop members.
